Case study

Auction process of a laboratory service provider

HMS advised the three founders and another shareholder of an industrial laboratory service provider based in Switzerland on their successor solution to an international laboratory chain.

 

The issues that are critical for a sales process, such as CHF currency risks, relatively high customer concentration, project-based business model including down payments and project controlling, regulations and regulations (including animal testing) and the great importance of key employees were identified early on and addressed proactively and transparently in the documents and discussed with international interested parties.

 

By specifically addressing selected global potential interested parties, HMS created an international bidding environment consisting of direct competitors and financial investors. Through stringent process management and proactive and comprehensive preparation, a sales process was implemented that took maximum account of the interests of the seller and led to a correspondingly very satisfactory result.
